It all started with the pandemic. Like many, Alex found himself in a challenging situation, struggling with weight gain during lockdown. Determined to turn things around, he embraced the world of Zwifting, a virtual cycling community. As the pedals spun, the pounds began to melt away. However, life took an unexpected turn when his wife, Pascale, contracted COVID-19, resulting in a two-week self-quarantine.
A Crazy Plan Emerges
Fast forward 14 days, and Pascale emerged healthier and brimming with new ideas. Inspired by the transformative power of adventure, she proposed something utterly wild: why not take a year off work, pull their three teenagers from school, and bike around the globe? Alex and the kids were initially taken aback but also thrilled by the idea of exploring new horizons together. What better way to document their travels than through a group ride with our community?
